Para mi el mes de Octubre es como
de transición y adaptación al clima frio y a los meses
venideros de invierno. Me encantan todas las tonalidades que la naturaleza nos garantiza y las texturas rusticas del campo
que me sirven de inspiración para mis
nuevos proyectos y prepararme con gorros, bufandas, guantes y tambien tejer
mantas, preferiblemente con materiales naturales, para calentarme durante los dias cortos, oscuros y frios.
Yo disfruté mucho del maravilloso clima de Colombia por
muchos años. Existe una gran variedad de climas dentro del mismo país, pero no hay las cuatro estaciones,
principalmente hay los bosques tropicales,las sabanas, las estepas, los
desiertos y el clima de Montana que lo dividimos en: tierra caliente, tierra
templada, tierra fria y el páramo. El clima de
la selva en el Amazonas se caracteriza por ser caliente, humedo y con fuertes
lluvias.
Desde que vivo en Canada, que es un país que tiene las cuatro diferente estaciones, mi admiración por los arboles y arbustos que cambian de
color y producen un resplandor glorioso, no se ha disminuido al contrario ha ido
creciendo cada vez mas. Los colores vibrantes del otoño son hermosos y tienen
un gran rango de tonalidades desde el
rojo hasta el dorado. Hay árboles con hojas que se vuelven amarillas como el árbol de tulipán, el arce, y el abedul;
otras se vuelven rojo,naranja, y púrpura, japones arce o roble rojo.
Y algunos arbustos se convierten en naranja y rojo, las hortensias y
la enredadera Virginia.

October for me is a transition and adaptation to cold weather
and winter months ahead. I love all the colors that nature guarantees and countryside
rustic textures that I used as inspiration for my new projects and preparing hats,
scarves, gloves and also weaving blankets, preferably with natural materials to
warm during short days, dark and cold .
I enjoyed the wonderful climate of Colombia for many
years. There are a variety of climates within the same country, but no four seasons:
tropical forests, savannas, steppes,deserts and mountain climate that we divide
into: hot, warm, cold and frozen land. The tropical rainforest climate in the Amazon
is characterized by hot, humid and heavy rains.
Since I lived in a country that has the four different
seasons, my admiration for the trees and shrubs that change color and produce a
glorious glow. Instead it has been growing more and more. The vibrant colors of
autumn are beautiful and have a great range of colors from red to gold.
There are trees with leaves that turn yellow as the
tulip tree, maple, and birch; others become red, orange , and purple, Japanese
maple or red oak. And some bushes become orange and red, hydrangeas and
Virginia creeper.
