 He estado celebrando esta temporada  de Navidad con proyectos que puede hacer uno mismo/DIY (Do It Yourself) como son los adornos, las guirnaldas y los regalos. Además, horneando algunas galletas  y  postres.

I’ve been celebrating this season with DIY (Do It Yourself) decorations, wreaths and gifts.Plus, some holiday cookies and desserts.

 Los proyectos creativos son una buena manera de compartir con la familia, amigos, vecinos, y devolver a la comunidad, especialmente a organizaciones benéficas.

The creative projects are a great way to share with family, friends, neighbors, and give back to your community especially to charities.

Incluso cuando hay tanto por hacer, una de mis tradiciones favoritas durante estas fiestas, es pasar algún tiempo  haciendo un regalo personal a mano. Creo es mucho mejor hacer algo unico en vez de comprar un regalo genérico en una tienda.

Even when there is so much to do, one of my favourites Holiday treats is, to spend some time making a handmade personal gift. I think it is always better than a store bought generic gift.

Durante estas vacaciones he estado elaborando algunos   regalos de recuerdo para mis seres queridos.  A continuacion me gustaría compartir con ustedes dos de ellos y las instrucciones de cómo me los hice.

During this Holiday Season I’ve been making keepsakes for my love ones. I’d like to share two of them and the instructions of how I made them.

Capucha Cómoda.

Ganchillo: 11,5 mm. Lana: Bravo Gran Súper voluminosa poliacrílica.

Patrón: (Croche términos en US)

Nota: Teja 2 Cadenas al comienzo de cada hilera. No cuenta como puntada.

Monte 22 Cadenas.

Hilera1: 1 medio punto en  la tercera cadena desde el gancho.

1 medio punto en cada cadena hasta el final de toda la cadena. voltear. 20 hdc.

Hilera2: teja 2 Cadenas.

Tejer 1 medio punto en la barra horizontal que se ha creado por debajo de los bucles que normalmente  se trabajan en el reves (Wrong Side), en la hilera anterior. Repetir hasta el final de la Hilera. Voltear.

Repita segunda fila hasta que el trabajo mida de comienzo a fin, 84 cm o 33 ".

Reservar lo suficiente hilo para rematar.

Cosa  las cadenas del comienzo y la última hilera juntas. (Yo lo hice con punto bajo/sc utilizando la aguja de ganchillo).

 The Comfy Cowl.

Crochet hook: 11.5 mm. Yarn: Bravo Big Super Bulky Polyacrylic.

Pattern: (US terms)

Note: Chain 2 at the beginning of each row. It does not count as stitch.

Chain 22.

Row1: I hdc ir 3^rd chain from hook.

1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 20 hdc.

Row2: Chain 2.

Work 1 hdc in the horizontal bar created below the loops normally worked on the WS (Wrong Side) in the previous row. Repeat to the end of row. Turn.

Repeat 2^nd row until work from beginning measures 84 cm or 33”.

Saving enough yarn to Fasten off.

Sew foundation chain and last row together. (I did sc using the crochet hook)

Bufanda de Invierno Corta e Infinita.

Tejido de punto. Bravo Gran hilo. 12 mm agujas circulares.

Patrón: (tejido de punto términos en US)

Monte: 51 puntos. (Múltiplos de 10 + 1) Una el tejido en circulo con cuidado de no torcer los puntos.

Teja 5 puntos derecho, 5  puntos reves(repitir). Yo decidi cambiar de dirección cada 6 vueltas.

Remate los  puntos no muy apretados. Recuerde dejar unos 8 mts de hilo.

The Winter Infinitive Short scarf.

HandKnit. Bravo Big yarn. 12 mm circular needles.

Pattern: (US terms)

Cast: 51 sts. (Multiples of 10 + 1) Join in round being careful not to twist.

Knit 5, Purl 5  (repeat).  I changed direction every 6 rounds.

Bind off loosely. Remember to save about 8 mts of yarn.

My creative and very talented artist and painter friend Erika mentioned to me few weeks ago the online book, Listen to Your Heart, and Success Will Follow by Cynthia Christianson, and I’ve started to read her life-coaching classes.

I am ready to take on the challenge and start a journey toward a more enjoyable, balanced and productive lifestyle by creating a career and lifestyle that I'll really love. I deserve nothing less.
